What is in version 3.0?
Improved user interface
Increased performance
New Trek Roadsign series book
Windows Vista Support
Why is 3.0 so different?
With the release of Windows
Vista, the database engine that
Clubmouse Pro 2.1 uses is no
longer supported (MSDE) by
Microsoft. Clubmouse
Professional 3.0 has been rebuilt
with the new Microsoft database
engine (SQL Express) as well as with
the Microsoft .NET 2.0 framework.
What do I need to do to
upgrade my 2.1 and want to upgrade
to 3.0?
You must be an exiting 2.1
customer to purchase the 3.0
upgrade. Because of the
changes in the database engine that
the software uses (see notes above)
it will be necessary to remove your
existing installation of Clubmouse
2.1 and to install the full version
of Clubmouse 3.0. Always
create a backup before uninstalling!
Full instructions to upgrade are
here.
What if I am running on
version 1.3?
You should first apply the
upgrade 2.1
patch. After successfully
applying that patch, follow the
steps above to upgrade to version
3.0. You will NOT need to
purchase both the 2.1 AND the 3.0
upgrade. Just purchase the 3.0
upgrade (you must be an existing
customer to purchase the upgrade)
and a download will be made
available or a CD will be sent to
you that can be applied after you
have updated your installation to
version 2.1.
Use the
Order page to order the 3.0
installation. Please specify
the upgrade if you are an existing
customer.
